Fallows Heath is situated in Burntwood, a town  formed originally by bringing together the three villages of Chasetown, Chase Terrace and Burntwood. There is little to show of the mining industry that Chasetown was built around, other than the Chasewater reservoir set within the country park, which provided water for the canals that transported coal into Birmingham, and the Chasewater Railway, the former colliery railway which has been restored. Today, Burntwood is a thriving town set within reach of attractive countryside, with Cannock Chase (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) a 20 minute* drive to the north, and Chasewater Country Park a 9 minute drive to the west. Less than a mile away, Burntwood Leisure Centre is a ten minute walk and has everything you need to keep fit including a swimming pool, sports hall and a 55-station air conditioned gym, offering something for all the family. Burntwood has a number of primary schools (nearest Chase Terrace Primary, 0.7 miles) and two high schools ( Erasmus Darwin Academy 1.2 miles, Chase Terrace Technology College 0.7 miles). If you’re looking for leisure, you can relax in one of the many local cafes and bars, whilst those who prefer something more active can join the local football or rugby clubs. Fallows Heath is located close to several railway stations, including Lichfield (5.6 miles), Hednesford (4.8 miles) and Cannock (5 miles). Excellent road links via the A5, M6, M6 toll road and M54 offer direct routes to Birmingham, north Wales and the south west. *Distance (miles) and journey times are approximate and are taken from Google Maps.
