Local Area Connection
Built by Vistry Homes our homes at Great Oldbury are designed to specifically meet the needs of local people and priority will be given to applicants who have a connection to Stroud District Council. The local area connection can vary between our developments but generally, it is based on you having been a resident (or employed within) the area for a number of years (usually between 2-5) or have family connections – for example, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild or adult sibling – who have lived in the area for at least three years.
Staircasing to own 100% of your home at Great Oldbury
Our homes at Great Oldbury are available to purchase from 25% to 75% shared ownership. Once your home is purchased you will have the option to increase the amount of your shared ownership home that you own. This is Staircasing. The greater the share you buy in your home the less rent you will pay to your home. Ultimately staircasing to buy 100% of your home, means you become an outright owner, and you will no longer need to pay rent.
